Tack and saddlery Security
In the event that thieves have overcome all the external obstacles, or someone has simply left the door unlocked, there are still a number of steps that can be taken to safeguard your valuable tack and equipment. A Tack Safe provides secure storage for your saddles and bridles. The high security TackGuard is available in one, two and three saddle versions with plenty of additional space for bridles, headcollars and all your other paraphernalia.
The Saddle Stop is another simple way of preventing unauthorised removal of your saddle. The Datatag Saddle Marking Kit makes your saddle easily identifiable and an unprofitable prospect for the thief.
TackGuard
The TackGuard High Security tack safe is capable of storing one, two or three saddles (depending on model). The adjustable saddle racks are designed to support your saddle and take the weight of most saddles, from traditional English to western or stock saddles (check the length of western saddle against depth of the TackGuard, 650mm). There are four hooks for bridles, head collars, etc.. With an optional shelf there is still plenty of room for grooming kit, clippers, hats and other paraphernalia. The plinth is designed as a security feature but has the added benefit of keeping the safe itself off the ground, avoiding problems in damp situations. Generous air vents ensure a steady flow of fresh air inside the locked safe.
Each safe is made to order so allow a little extra time for delivery, usually about two weeks.
Tack Safe
Whether in your own tack room, at your livery yard or at home the Tack Safe offers additional lockable security for your saddles, bridles and valuable tack. Measuring 600 x 550 x 1060mm the Tack Safe has two adjustable/removable saddle racks, shelf and bridle hooks. It can be secured to the floor or wall.
The Jumbo Tack Safe is a walk-in wardrobe! Measuring 1800 x 800 x 800mm it can hold up to three saddles has two large shelves and numerous bridle hooks.
Saddle Stop
Manufactured by Bulldog the Saddle Stop prevents unauthorised removal of saddles. It quickly secures most saddles in under ten seconds. Designed to protect the tree and prevent damage to the saddle yet of heavy duty construction. The Saddle Stop is fitted with Bulldog’s proven high security plunge lock which carries the Sold Secure approval. Complete with wall bracket fixings and full instructions.
Saddle Marking
The Datatag Saddle Marking Kit enables you to uniquely and discreetly fit your saddle with an electronic “finger print”. Using a transponder that is resistant to the crush and shear wear associated with the saddle the Datatag system benefits from a comprehensive infrastructure of scanners to support the system. The kit includes simple to follow instructions, a special tool to apply the transponder and a decal for the tack room.
